Yin Yoga Teacher Training

with Norman Blair

An invitation to slow down, to study, practise and inhabit Yin yoga with one of the UK's most experienced Yin yoga teachers. Over five days in studio, Norman Blair opens a doorway into a quiet, sustained, surprisingly potent practice: a meeting of body, breath and patient attention. Yoga Alliance–accredited, limited to 25 students

Overview

All Courses

Stillness as a way of knowing

On this 5-day immersive training Norman explores both the reasons for practising Yin and the results of it – examining poses in detail, offering example sequences, and leaving plenty of room to reflect on your own experience. Contraindications, modifications, and the focus of meeting each body are woven through every session.
By the end of the course, you'll have a deeper understanding of Yin as a practice. Qualified yoga teachers will be equipped to begin teaching Yin with confidence; committed practitioners will leave with a richer relationship to the form. Three specialist guest sessions – anatomy, meridians and meditation – round out a course that is both theoretical and creative, giving you the tools and the inspiration to sequence in your own voice.
The training stands alone as a complete Yoga Alliance–accredited course and can also be taken as an optional module on the Shala's 300–hour programme.

“Highly recommended…Brightening Our Inner Skies has inspired me to remember the sweet heart at the centre of yoga practice, and the importance that the consistent practice of self-awareness has for each of us as individuals and for the world around us.”
