An invitation inside the 200-Hour

This is the entry point to our foundational 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training – a chance to feel the programme from the inside before deciding if it's the right step for you. Across a single session, senior teachers Gingi Lee and Charli Van Ness (E-RYT 500) will encapsulate what it is to go on this transformational journey of mind, body, and – sometimes – soul.
It's part open conversation, part embodied experience. You'll visit the studio, meet the lead teachers, take part in a guided practice, and hear how the 200-Hour curriculum is woven together. There's space to ask the practical questions – pace, format, expectations – and the bigger ones too: why now, why here, why this path.
The Open Day welcomes anyone with a committed yoga practice (three years minimum) who is curious about what comes next – whether that's teaching, deepening personal study, or simply looking for more direction on how to live life more fully. Attending this Open Day is encouraged, though not compulsory, for applying. Find the full course details on the 200-Hour Teacher Training page.

"Our trainings have been described as transformational, life-changing, and mind-blowing by past graduates. The 200-Hour programme is carefully designed to offer personal evolution, professional development, and a solid foundation in embodied, authentic teaching."

What Our Students Say

What our students say

"Gingi is a rare, gifted teacher who teaches from the heart with compassion, love and humour. He gently encourages us to make the yoga practice our own, journeying towards an opening of the mind, body and heart."

200-Hour Graduate

"Gingi is a fountain of yoga knowledge and one of the most grounded and down-to-earth teachers I have met. He cared about each and every student and I felt he went out of his way to make sure I got what I needed from the course."

200-Hour Graduate

"This is a unique opportunity to hear and learn from Gingi in a fun and relaxed way. Gingi is very skilled and clearly an expert in his field. More than that though, is his unique ability to meet each student exactly where they are and bring out the best in each and the group as a whole."

200-Hour Graduate

"The Shala is an incredibly nurturing and supportive place to take that first step towards becoming a yoga teacher. The course has real integrity, and the teachers are hugely experienced, knowledgeable and inspiring, and all clearly have a deep love for the practice."

200-Hour Graduate

"The quality of teaching at The Shala is exceptional. The non-judgmental, inclusive, open, caring, welcoming, fun atmosphere is maintained throughout the course. The depth and detail of both the philosophical knowledge and the anatomical knowledge is exceptional."
