Elemental Yoga Nidra Teacher Training

with Emma Landolt

Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice originating from the Tantric traditions — a profound yet easily accessible pathway into deep rest, healing, and expanded awareness. Often described as the yoga of conscious sleep, it invites practitioners into the liminal space between waking and dreaming, where the body can soften completely while awareness remains gently awake.

Overview

All Courses

Earth, water, fire, air – the alchemy of rest

This training is a slow, considered immersion into the practice of Yoga Nidra, explored through the wisdom and alchemy of the four elements. Earth, water, fire and air are invoked as both inner forces and external energies with a framework that meets both the science of rest and the mystery of it.

Across two days you'll learn the foundations of Yoga Nidra including its history, methods and proven benefits, alongside the practical skills to design and guide your own Nidra sessions. You'll move through the traditional Yoga Nidra journey Emma has learned from Uma Dinsmore–Tuli – prayer, settling, breath, grounding, cycles, geometric doorways, chakra awareness, sankalpa and its opposites, spaciousness, return.

By the end of the course, qualified yoga teachers will be equipped to begin teaching Nidra with confidence; committed practitioners will leave with a richer personal practice. Everyone leaves with a grounded yet expansive framework for using the elements in practice design and at least one fully formed Nidra of their own, ready to take into their teaching.

The training stands alone as a complete two–day immersion and can also be taken as Part 2 of the Elemental Mandala Vinyasa course, to support a natural deepening from movement into stillness. Take this as a YACEP–registered CPD or count it toward your 300–hour Yoga Teacher Training.

"Yoga Nidra is the sacred yoga of awakened sleep, a guided meditation for true transformation & deep delicious relaxation.”

Elemental Mandala Vinyasa & Elemental Yoga Nidra Teacher Trainer

There is a particular quality to Emma’s teaching with meditative movement sequences that travel a full 360 degrees around the mat, and a quiet contemplative quality that invites students to explore their inner landscape. Emma’s practice is dynamic and devotional in equal measure, weaving Vinyasa, Yin and Yoga Nidra into a unique, fluid offering. Earth, water, fire and air run through everything she teaches – not as metaphor, but as living elemental forces awakened in the temple of the body.
