Tash Tubaña
Teacher Training CoordinatorTash is the person quietly keeping the school's many moving parts in order. Warm, patient and unhurried, she's often the first point of contact for trainees and the dependable presence behind every well–run training.
The calm centre of all the Shala School operations
Approach
Tash brings a rare, measured consistency to everything she does. Trainees and teachers describe an effortless calm in how she handles the moving parts of a busy school – questions answered, problems quietly solved. Her warmth is genuine and her patience seems boundless; she meets every query, however small, with the same compassion and a ready smile.
Early years
Tash's path to the Shala ran through Hong Kong, where she worked as a Law Firm Assistant before joining the school as a virtual assistant in 2021. What began as a support role soon grew into something larger, and she stepped into coordinating the Teacher Training programme – the work she leads today from her home in the Philippines.
Training & influences
Tash's discipline comes less from the yoga mat than from the competition floor. A former competitor in the Philippines' National Cheerleading Championship, she now also serves as assistant coach to a college cheerleading team – work that also calls for the same qualities she brings to the Shala: composure under pressure, an eye for many bodies moving as one, and the patience to build a team. Her formal training reflects that world too, spanning adult conditioning and the technical side of the sport.
Teaching today
Today Tash oversees the school end to end – from customer service to marketing – keeping each cohort running smoothly behind the scenes. She is the operational heart of the Teacher Training programme and, for most students, the dependable point of contact throughout their journey with the school.
